Inga Liukaityte is a Lithuanian pianist based in London. Praised for the rich colours, intelligence, and depth of her performances, she is active as a soloist, chamber musician, and teacher. Inga has won prizes in more than fifteen international piano competitions in the UK, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Romanica, Greece, and France. While still studying in Lithuania, Inga received commendations for her international musical achievements from the President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus and the Mayor of her hometown, Kaunas. Inga has performed in prestigious venues such as the Barbican Hall, St James Piccadilly church in London, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and Edinburgh Fringe festival. She regularly gives solo and chamber recitals across the UK, including St James’ Paddington, St Pancras, St Mary’s Perivale churches and others. As a Live Music Now! Artist, Inga enjoys undertaking a wide range of outreach work: she has performed at Chelsea and Westminster, University College, and West Middlesex hospitals, St Christopher’s Hospica, as well as care homes and community centres around London. Inga has also delivered interactive performances and workshops for children in mainstream and SEND schools. Inga studied at Kaunas Juozas Naujalis Music Gymnasium with Birutė Kumpikienė, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Fali Pavri and Aaron. She gained her Masters degree under the tutelage of prof. Joan Havill at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Her studies were generously supported by Roderick F. Tuck, Baird Educational, Savoy Club, Kathleen, Denne Gilkes, ir Hope Scott Memorial trusts and Elizabeth Sweeting scholarship. Inga regularly attends international piano masterclasses and festivals. She has worked with famous pianists such as Dmitri Alexeev, Hortense Cartier-Bresson, Steven Osborne, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Ian Fountain, Petras Geniušas, Aleksandra Žvirblytė and others. She has attended courses and seminars on Alexander technique and performance psychology, which has greatly informed her professional work. Inga regularly practises yoga and mindfulness and tries to incorporate their ideas into her performance and teaching work. ​
