The pianist Anastasija Šumskaitė (2001) is a student of National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art. Amongst her achievements it is worth mentioning the second prize at the 9th International Pyotr Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Latvia; laureate's diploma and special prizes for the best performance of pieces by Frederic Chopin at the 5th International Festival of Piano Music in Poland; the third prize at the 11th International Frederic Chopin Competition for Young Pianists. Anastasija has participated in masterclasses led by Robertas Bekionis, Zbignevas Ibelhauptas, Guoda Gedvilaitė, Mūza Rubackytė, Daumantas Kirilauskas, Kira Šaškina, Ana Malikova, and Nina Seriogina. She is also one of the young talents who was mentioned in the book "Who will be Who. The Future of Lithuania" that was published in 2015.
