Toms Ostrovskis (Latvia) graduated from Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in 2002 and continued to study with full scholarship at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. During his studies, the pianist participated in many international competitions and masterclasses in Great Britain, Portugal, and France, learning from various renowned artists-teachers, such as David Dubal, Joseph Banowetz, Christopher Elton, Joan Havill, Sergey Babayan, Karl Kemmerling, and John O'Conor amongst others. He was a finalist of the European Radio’s Competition New Talent and the Guildhall Gold Medal competition (London). Since 2007 Ostrovskis is a member of the Piano Department of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. He is an active member of the Amber Coast Artists ensemble and participates in various solo and chamber music projects in Latvia and abroad on a regular basis. Since 1998 he has been a member of the Latvian Piano Teachers Association (board member since 2010), representing EPTA Latvia in festivals and conferences across Europe. Since 2007 he has been actively involved in the Innovative Conservatoire (ICon) project.
