CEZARY SANECKI is a pianist, an alumnus of the Academy of Music in Łódź, where he studied piano under prof. Tadeusz Chmielewski (diploma with distinction) and chamber music under prof. Rajmund Ambroziak and prof. Bronisław Hajn. He is the winner of the 1st prize and the Krzysztof Penderecki Special Award at the Polish National Chamber Music Competition in Łódź (1986). As a soloist and a chamber musician he has performed in Poland as well as in Europe and Asia. A significant part of his recitals and the chamber music concert programmes’ consist of 19th and 20th century music, in general opuses of the Polish composers plays a huge role in his repertoire. He has performed numerous premieres of works by contemporary composers which he presented at international music festivals. He cooperated with numerous famous artists, such as Andrzej Orkisz, Piotr Pławner, Tomasz Król, and Urszula Kryger. A special place in his artistic activity is dedicated for piano duets performed, which were wery well acclaimed. Those he played with such artists as Joanna Hajn-Romanowicz, Beata Cywińska and Robert Gawroński. He has released over twenty albums in which he recorded pieces by composers like Henryk Wieniawski, Johannes Brahms, Manuel de Falla, Maurice Ravel, Bela Bartok, Max Bruch, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Gražyna Bacewicz, Robert Schumann, Karol Szymanowski, as well as polish contemporary ones by the composers of these days. The album with opuses for violin and piano by Karol Szymanowski (recorded in duet with violinist Aleksandra Szwejkowska-Belica) was nominated for the Fryderyk Music Award. He leads a piano class at the Academy of Music in Łódź. Between 2008 and 2012 he served as the dean of the Piano, Harpsichord and Organ Faculty at the Łódź Academy of Music and in 2012 he was elected as the rector of the Academy. In June 2013 he received the title of the professor in Musical Arts.
