STRING QUARTET


General rules
  • The String Quartet will have to perform one of the S. Vainiūnas Piano Quintets. Pianist, for the performance of S. Vainiūnas Piano Quintet will be provided by the organizers. More detailed and specific information will be provided to the participated String Quartets at the end of the Preselection round.
  • EUR 500 Special Prize can be awarded for high-quality performance of S. Vainiūnas Piano Quintet to one of the String Quartets, that will participate in the Final.
  • Each participant shall prepare a programme following the repertoire requirements below. The selected programme should be stated in the application form.
  • Compositions in different rounds cannot be repeated.
  • The exact performance program for Chamber Ensembles will be determined by the Jury, whose decision will be announced to the contestants before the performance.
  • Participants who have logged in to their artistDB account will be able to change their programs and performance order until 15 February 2022
  • Participants will be required to perform their programs in the order of their own choice finally made in artistDB on 15 February 2022
  • Jury members could stop unprofessional performance.
    • PRESELECTION ROUND VIDEO: may be submitted, changed or modified until 31 January 2022.
    (The applicant must provide a valid YouTube video performance link about 10 - 15 minutes, where he/she/they performs a free program. Editing of the video recordings is prohibited, but different pieces may be recorded at different times and in different locations.)
    I ROUND (the total duration of the I round program should not exceed 50 minutes)

    2) Any L. van Beethoven's String Quartet

    FINAL (the total duration of the Final performance should not exceed 1 hour)

    The String Quartet will have to perform one of the S. Vainiūnas Piano Quintets.
    Pianist, for the performance of S. Vainiūnas Piano Quintet will be provided by the organizers    .
    More detailed and specific information will be provided to the participated String Quartets at the end of the Preselection round.
