The cellist Nadja Stiegler and pianist Maria Kasznia met three years ago at a master
class in Hungary. Shortly afterwards they founded DuoArte. Resident in Vienna they
perform regularly at various concerts in Austria, Poland and Italy and take part in
different cultural projects. For example, the Duo was invited to play for the
international festive ceremony for human rights 2021 in the Musikverein Graz as well
as for the Woman ́s international league for peace and freedom in the Musikverein
Wien – setting a sign for a peaceful world through their music.
It is their aspiration to discover and perform less known repertoire and bring it to
the attention of their audience.
DuoArte was awarded the first absolute prize in the Euterpe International Competition
2019, second prize in the Filadelfia International Competition 2021 and third prize in
the International Competition Luigi Zanuccoli 2021. Together they were finalists in
the International Johannes Brahms Competition 2021.
