Trio Bohémo was founded in 2019. The members of the ensemble are Jan Vojtek, piano, Matouš Pěruška, violin and Kristina Vocetková, cello. Despite all members being from the Czech Republic, they only met in Budapest, Hungary and shortly after that decided to form piano trio together. After few months following their establishment, they have been awarded 2nd prize at the prestigious Gianni Bergamo Award in Lugano (Switzerland). Following this success, the trio has been selected to join the Le Dimore del Quartetto network. In summer 2021, they were awarded special prizes for the Best Interpretation of the Work of Viennese Classicism, Czech Contemporary Chamber Music and Work by Bohuslav Martinů at ISA Festival in Austria. Only few days later, they won the first edition of the International Filippo Nicosia Award in Italy. In September 2021, the trio won the first prize and the prize of the audience at the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Austria and in October 2021, they won the International Parkhouse Award in London, UK. They were invited for the 2022 Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme. Since 2020, they have been members of the European Chamber Music Academy, studying under the guidance of professors such as Hatto Beyerle, Patrick Jüdt, Johannes Meissl, Avedis Kouyoumdjian or Dirk Mommertz. The opportunities provided by the ECMA enabled them to perform at multiple stages across Europe. The highlights of the 2021/2022 season include debut in Musikverein in Vienna or recitals at festivals such as Lago Maggiore Musica in Italy, Gent Festival van Vlaanderen in Belgium, Schwarzwald Musikfestival in Germany or Prague Spring Festival in Czech Republic. During the first lockdown in spring 2020, they organized two successful benefit concerts (for hospitals in Italy and for the Caritas Czech Republic). During second lockdown in autumn 2020, they founded online series of performances from home and recorded Christmas concert for retirement homes across the Czech Republic.
